#EarthHour2018

Every year, nations, communities, industries, and individuals participate in the Earth Hour, switching off non-essential lights for an hour. Last year (2018), 188 countries and territories participated and more than 17,900 landmarks and monuments around the world switched off their lights during Earth Hour.

The Earth Hour proves that we can be protectors of our planet. It shows that small acts, when put together, create big change. By participating, we can contribute in protecting our Mother Earth.

Why is it important?

  1. It can save energy.

By switching off your lights during Earth Hour, we can save energy for other resources.

  • Reduce Carbon Emission.

By participating, we can reduce emitting chlorofluorocarbon from refrigerators.

  • Raise Awareness on Sustainability and Environmental Challenges.

While turning off your appliances at home, this is the time where we can reflect what we can do to make our Earth a better place to live.

Music from the World

“The Earth has music for those who listen.” is a line that brings about the importance of our mother. The sound of the wind moving every leaf of every tree, the crashing of the waves beside the seashore, the chirping of the birds, and the silence of the night. All those lovely sounds produced by our mother will be heard by those who listen.

The music is lasting, and it refreshes each of the living soul that stands in her land. Yet the beauty of the sounds produced will inevitably disappear if we continue to destroy her. Birds will lose their habitats, the breeze of the wind instead brings gloom, and the waves of the beaches will be ignored due to trashes that will clump near the shore.

If we don’t do anything to prevent this, future generations will never experience the true gifts of our mother

A simple presentation for a greater cause!

The group has prepared a short and simple presentation about the problems that our Earth is currently facing. The content of this presentation includes the importance of our mother, the factors that would inevitably destroy her and proper solutions to reduce and possibly eradicate the mentioned problems.

Through these, we are hoping that more and more people will be weary of their hurtful actions towards our earth, change how they treat our home. If our purpose is heeded successfully, it will surely help everyone, including the wildlife, and our planet.
